Follow the Yellow Brick Road

I've always thought that of all the American movie classics The Wizard of Oz has one of the most profound and spiritual messages – whether or not we know it, we have the power within to get to where we want to go. For Dorothy it took a journey to Oz in order to discover that her ruby slippers could deliver on her deepest desire – to return back home.

The Wizard of Oz is a great story not just because of the wonderfully imaginative way that Lyman Frank Baum told his story, but because of the truths he told. We think we are on a journey of adventure to places far away and magical, but ultimately the story is not about the adventure, but the self-discovery that results from the journey.

For me, following my yellow brick road has been about trial and error, the process of re-sensitizing myself after years of feeling numb and apathetic, an exercise in honing my intuition, achieving a sense of inner equilibrium and finding my inner compass which I see leading me to fulfill on my highest potential.
